Andrew Koester is an experienced Illinois attorney with significant 
experience in both criminal and civil matters. Andrew served as Assistant State’s Attorney in Clay County from 2016-2019 and served as State’s Attorney in Clay County from 2019-2022. He has taken cases to verdict in both jury and bench trials as a prosecutor and defense attorney. He has routinely handled DUIs, first-degree murder cases, Class X felony cases, and other high level and low level criminal cases as a prosecutor and defense attorney. In addition to his criminal experience, he has handled a multitude of civil cases involving personal injury claims, contract disputes, and business disputes. He does his best to search for early resolutions that 
benefit his clients to avoid the costs of litigation and trial, but is prepared to litigate and try a case to a jury if needed.
